Amy Kimball
Owner & Licensed Massage Therapist
“I opened Ogden Massage for Pain Relief after 13 years of performing massage and bodywork, mostly from home. My husband was active duty Air Force, so we moved frequently. Everywhere I lived I met other massage therapists, trading services and learning why they were unhappy with their workplace. I vowed to open a clinic where therapists would be treated well.
It was silly to think I could open and run a clinic all by myself. Tawni Bennett is the best thing to happen to me. She is an amazing therapist, and has a heart of gold, desiring to hold a safe space for other therapists to grow, thrive, and love their job.
My vision for clients is to give to others what I’d like to have for myself! I don’t like paying for a 90 minute massage and getting 80 minutes. I don’t like having to pay extra for hot stones or essential oils or deep tissue. This is the reason our clients get 90 minutes when they pay for 90 minutes. And they get whatever upgrades they want, without extra charge. And that makes me happy! Because I know they’re happy.
Massage is my life, and I’ll always be a bodyworker, helping people with their pain, wherever I go.
I am not taking clients at this time, as I have moved to Costa Rica. However, I still answer the phone, and can help answer questions. I can help you figure out what type of therapy you might need, based on your goals and problem areas. I can also get you scheduled with one of our highly trained therapists- and help you pick someone, based on your preferences.”
History
I graduated Universal College of Healing Arts, Omaha, Nebraska in 2007.
I worked where the military moved us:
Yuba City, CA 2007-2009
South Korea 2010-2012
Panama City, FL 2012-2016
North Ogden, UT 2017-2020
After retiring, we decided to move to Turrialba, Costa Rica, where I work from my home office answering phones for the clinic, creating emails, flyers, and promotions, and writing content for our blog.
Here in Costa Rica, I volunteer massage therapy services to those in need.
Personal projects include writing and watercolor painting. I wrote and published a book in April, 2024: Transplanted: Finding Rest in Your Walk with Jesus. I regularly write blog reflections on faith, a-ha moments, relationships, transparency in the journey, and host a book discussion page.
